Marjorie Ann Reindl Carver, 85, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2026.

Marjorie was born on July 13, 1940, in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. She was the only daughter and the third child of immigrant parents, Catherine Hornacek, who emigrated from the Czech region of Austro-Hungarian Empire and Benedict Reindl, who emigrated from Germany.  During her childhood, she often spent time visiting her cousin, Agnes (Dostalik) Mitchell, while her parents worked at the family’s business, Benny’s Bakery.

Growing up in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, Margie, as she was affectionately known, enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, and embroidery, a skill rooted in her Czech heritage. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and graduated from New Brighton High School.

In 1958, Margie married Dale Eugene Carver in Hancock, West Virginia. She welcomed four sons and raised them in New Brighton. While raising her family, she pursued higher education at the Community College of Beaver County, earning an associate degree in psychology and beginning a full-time career.

Later in life, Margie became a single parent and relocated with her sons to the Phoenix area. She built a successful career with American Express, where she worked in the authorization department for nearly 30 years.  During her time there, she formed many lasting friendships and was known for bringing people together, often preparing meals and hosting gatherings for friends and coworkers she cherished.

Although Arizona became her home, Margie remained connected to her Pennsylvania roots.  She made several trips back east with her sons to visit family and maintain those treasured relationships.

After her mother was widowed, Margie shared in the care of her mother with her brothers, Ben Reindl in Arizona, and Tom and Shirley Reindl in Florida. She enjoyed attending Mass with her mother at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Phoenix.

Surviving are her sons, Jon (Monika) Carver of Texas, Dean Carver of Pennsylvania, Shawn (Wanda) Carver of Virginia, and Chris (Renee) Carver of Florida, her sisters-in-law, Vicki Reindl of Arizona and Shirley Reindl of Florida, and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine Koss and Benedict Reindl; her brothers, Ben Reindl and Tom Reindl, and her grandson, Jon Carl Carver.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
