Diana Lea Nimri, age 73, passed away on December 7, 2025. Diana was born on October 19, 1952 in Beardstown, IL, to Calvin and Rosalyn Chute. She resided in Illinois until she moved with her family to Riverside, CA at age 15, and she graduated from Norte Vista High School in 1970. Diana had a son, Sami Nimri, on May 23, 1976.
Diana worked as a CNA and Unit Secretary for over 30 years at Parkview Hospital and Riverside Community Hospital. She was the epitome of an animal-lover who volunteered with Arlington High School Future Farmers of America for six years, and cared for many other animals throughout her life, both her own and those in the community. Diana’s other passions included Elvis, the color purple, going to McDonald’s, and strawberry Piña Coladas with light rum. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and her ability to cheer people up was unmatched. Diana will be remembered for her humor and her willingness to do anything for anyone.
Diana is survived by her son, Sami Nimri, her sisters, Carol Cox and Barbara Warner, nieces and nephews, Kevin Cox, Kari Frye, Desiree Salazar, and Dustin Warner, and great-nieces and nephews, Kevin Partenheimer, Kyle Partenheimer, Korey Partenheimer, Karsen Cox, Carsen Frye, Corbin Frye, Kylin Frye, and Lily Salazar. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin & Rosalyn Chute, sister, Peggy Chute, and nephew, Kyle Cox.
Memorial donations in Diana’s name may be made to the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center, located at 6165 Industrial Avenue, Riverside, CA 92504.
