James “Jim” Charles Stukel passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, at Chandler Regional Medical Center in Chandler, Arizona at the age of 66. Jim was born in Joliet, Illinois and moved to Maricopa, Arizona, where he resided for the past 12 years.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 32 years, Sally J. Stukel. Those who remain to carry on his memory are his sons, Bradley J. Stukel and David C. Stukel; his siblings, Elizabeth “Beth” (Joseph) Bonczalski, Robert J. Stukel, Mary (David) Grossklaus, Diana (Scott) Glidewell, Michael (Michelle) Stukel, and John (Cindy) Stukel. He is also survived by six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim worked for Crane Composites for 31 years, filling numerous positions. As an animal lover, he gave much love and lots of treats to his “fur babies” over the years, including Spencer, Iris, Bella, Katie, and Royal.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Stukel, his mother, Betty A. Stukel, and special aunt, Norma (Donald) Ahlberg.
To honor Jim’s last wishes, his body was donated for medical research. A private celebration of life will be held by his family. Those who wish to honor his memory may make a donation to the charity of their choice.
