Kathie L. Neal

June 14, 1947 – November 8, 2025

Kathie L. Neal, a woman who painted her world with joy and lived with endless authenticity, passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on June 14, 1947, Kathie was the eldest of seventeen children. Her vibrant spirit touched countless lives through her art, her adventures, and most profoundly, through the depth of her love for her family and friends.

Above all, Kathie was a fiercely loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her devotion to her family knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment with those closest to her heart. Kathie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Neal, whose memory she held dear; her parents; and six of her siblings. She leaves behind a remarkable legacy through her three children, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, as well as ten surviving siblings. Each carries forward her spirit of love, authenticity, and joy.

A magnificent artist, Kathie saw beauty everywhere and captured it with remarkable skill and vision. She shared her joy with others by teaching art, inspiring creativity in all who learned from her. Her creative spirit extended far beyond the canvas—she was an adventurer and traveler who sought meaning and connection across the landscapes of both the world and the soul. A dedicated spiritual seeker, she lived authentically, never afraid to express her feelings or show the full magnitude of her love.

As a supportive sister to her many siblings, she remained a steady presence and source of strength. She cultivated friendships wherever she went, her warm and genuine nature earning her the affectionate nickname “Miss Popularity” from one of her friends. A Friend of Bill’s, Kathie helped other women on the road to recovery, offering hope, understanding, and unwavering support to those who needed it most.

Her life was a masterpiece of love and connection, painted in bold strokes of courage, compassion, and genuine presence. Kathie’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and in the beauty she brought into the world.

In her memory, may we all live more authentically, love more fiercely, and find joy in every moment.
