Michael “Mike” Lynch

February 19, 1944
May 30, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Michael “Mike” Lynch,
beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Mike was born on February 19, 1944,
and left us far too soon on May 30, 2025. He was a beacon of love, compassion, and
kindness to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Lorraine Lynch, whom he cherished and regarded as
his best friend during their nearly 37 years of blessed marriage. He leaves behind his
loving children, Doug Lynch and his wife Becky, Shelley Dominguez and Michael Lynch
and his wife Amanda, his grandchildren Alyssa (Brian) Theisen, Brianna (Torey)
Horgan, Courtney Lynch, Sean (Lindsay) Lowe, Sydney, and Brittany Dominguez,
Michael, Paityn, and Easton Lynch, who were the apple of his eye and great-grandchildren,
Colton and Hunter Lowe, Andrew Theisen, and Tatum Horgan. Mike was
predeceased by his father, also named Michael Lynch, and his mother, Mary Lynch.
Mike’s friendly spirit and warm personality touched many lives during his time with us.
Known for his caring demeanor, compassion, wonderful sense of humor, and generous
nature, Mike was also an incredible listener, which served him well as a Hospice
volunteer. He treated everyone he met with respect, was always generous, and believed in
giving more than receiving. These are the lessons he lived by, and they are his legacy to
us all.
Mike served our country with honor and pride as an officer in the United States Air
Force. His service spanned the years 1966 to 1990, including tours in Vietnam and a
prestigious position as an Advance Agent for President Reagan. His retirement as a
Colonel marked the end of a distinguished military career. A recipient of numerous
awards, citations, and medals, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious
Service Medal and the Distinguished Presidential Unit Citation stand as a testament to
his commitment and dedication to his country.
Music was a great source of joy for Mike, with a particular soft spot for John Denver,
Don Williams and Willie Nelson. A testament to his love of music was evident on his last
day with us when a song by John Denver elicited a smile and a thumbs-up sign.
In addition to music, Mike loved traveling. He and Lorraine spent nine wonderful years
living full-time in their motorhome, traversing the United States and Canada. Along the
way, many great and lasting friendships were forged.
In lieu of flowers, funds are being raised for “The Gary Sinise Foundation”. Mike’s
legacy is one of love, service, and generosity, a legacy that continues to inspire those
who were touched by his life. We will miss his friendly smile, his laugh, and the warmth
he brought into our lives. But we take comfort in knowing that he lived his life fully, loved
deeply, and left us with precious memories we will forever hold dear in our hearts.
We will forever be grateful for the love he bestowed upon us and the time he spent with
his beloved grandchildren, which he treasured the most. Although our hearts are hurting
and we miss him deeply, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is at peace.
