Richard “Rich” Allan Brown Jr., 69, of Tucson, Arizona, passed peacefully at home on the land he loved.

Born April 27, 1956, in Muskegon, Michigan, Rich was a proud Marine, a hard worker, and a man who always found a way to make life an adventure.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Marlene Brown (née Schroeder) and Richard Allan Brown Sr., and by his wife, Cheryl Brown (née Humphrey).

He was the beloved father of Tania and Monique Annoreno, both now deceased.

He is survived by his three grandsons, Matthew, Terry, and Tory Annoreno.

After serving in the Marines, Rich returned to Michigan. While hitchhiking, he met the woman who would become his lifelong companion, Cheryl.

Together they moved to Arizona in the late 1970s, ready to build a future in the desert they grew to love.

Rich spent much of his younger years camping, off-roading, and exploring the desert, sharing his love of the outdoors with his family.

He also loved riding his motorcycle, and even after a serious accident, he kept riding with the same stubborn determination he showed in life.

A talented career painter and a skilled mechanic, Rich took pride in his work. He could fix just about anything, and if he couldn’t, he’d figure it out.

He was dependable, hands-on, and always ready to help.

Rich had a good sense of humor, a happy-go-lucky attitude, and usually a beer in hand. He loved a good time and made sure everyone around him had one too.

A celebration of Richard’s life will be planned by the family.
