In Loving Memory of Skip Willis Burch
“Skippy” / “Skipper”
October 30, 1971 – June 25, 2025

Skip Willis Burch, (Skip Burch)
affectionately known as “Skippy” or “Skipper,” passed away peacefully in Tucson, Arizona.

He was 53 years old. Born on October 30, 1971, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Skip was raised in Oracle, Arizona, and later made his home in Tucson.

He was known for his quiet strength, kind spirit, and the deep love he held for his family and friends.

Skip is preceded in death by his loving mother, Sandra Jean Lawhon Little; his step father Raymond Paul Little, sister, Karen Elizabeth Lawhon Grimes; his brother, Damien Lee Burch; and his brother-in-law, Jerrid Daniel (Danny) Grimes.

He is survived by his beloved 5-year-old son, Maxx, who was the light of his life, along with Maxx’s loving mother, Brook Hugues. He is also survived by his devoted sister, Tonya Anne Burch-Greenler; and his brothers, Richard Lee Burch and Daniel Lee Burch.

Skip’s memory will be forever cherished by his nephews, Jerrid Grimes and Ali Rosewood; and his nieces, Jennifer Quigley, Sarina Pedersen, Valerie Greenler, Shannon Greenler, Lexi Dunson, Areil Dunson, and Kharma Murphy. He is also fondly remembered by Bobbie Jo Dunson, along with many extended family members and close friends.

Skip had a deep love for motorcycles, working on cars, and welding. One of his proudest projects was restoring a classic car for his son Maxx — a symbol of his love and the legacy he hoped to pass on.

In the final chapter of his life, while Skip was in the hospital recovering, his devoted friends stepped in and continued working on the car day and night. Their labor of love was driven by their respect for Skip and their hope that he would see the car completed — a final tribute to his passion and the bond they shared.

Skip’s life was filled with love, loyalty, and a sense of humor that made others feel at home. His greatest joy was being a father to Maxx, and his legacy will live on through everyone who knew and loved him.

A private memorial service will be held in Tucson. Details will be shared with close family and friends. “She made me do it.”—Skip Burch
