Theodore “Teddy” Makropoulos

March 19, 1984 – October 14, 2026

Theodore “Teddy” Makropoulos, 42, passed away on October 14, 2026, leaving behind a family and many friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Teddy lived in many places throughout his life, including Arizona. He worked in Site Logistics for Sundt Construction. Outside of work, Teddy enjoyed working on bikes, cars, listening to music, and spending time with the people who meant the most to him.

Teddy had a funny sense of humor and a way of bringing laughter into the lives of those around him. He loved his friends and family and treasured the time he spent with them. He also had a special place in his heart for animals of all kinds, especially his dogs (Sweet Pea and Gypsy), turtles and tortoises, which were among his greatest passions.

One of the most meaningful parts of Teddy’s life was his beloved wife, Carla, who passed away in April 2022. Teddy was a true romantic, and his love for Carla showed in the little things he did every day. He was always holding her hand, a simple but beautiful expression of the closeness and affection they shared. Their love was a special part of Teddy’s story, and the memory of their bond will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them.

Teddy is survived by his parents, George and Betty Makropoulos; his brothers, Pete and Mikey; and his sisters, Jamie and Dorie. He will also be remembered by his extended family and many friends who will cherish the memories, laughter, and moments they shared with him.

Teddy’s passing leaves a profound sadness for those who loved him. His humor, his passions, his devotion to Carla, and his love for family and friends will remain part of the memories that keep him close. Though he is no longer here with us, the love he gave and the moments he shared will never be forgotten.

After years apart, we find comfort in imagining Teddy reunited with loved ones including his beloved Carla, holding her hand once again. Their love lives on, and they will forever be together in the hearts of those who love them both.

Teddy will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
