Tristen Griffes aka Jerry Tackitt, was born October 5, 1979. He was taken to be with Jesus on June 22, 2026. Before he was ten years old, he moved to the Verde Valley, where he would spend the rest of his life. From very early on, Tristen did things his way, right or wrong. He was a normal kid who swam in the ‘Dirty Verde’ and creeks of Beaver Creek and Clear Creek. As a young man, he was a good kid to his parents, (most of the time) and a rascal to his siblings.
Tristen was very talented in many different ways, and could do anything he set his mind to. As an adult, he worked at one of the best restaurants in Sedona, later managing a pizza place in the Village of Oak Creek. Tristen loved his many small dogs and enjoyed being there for his friends. He loved 80’s and 90’s country music and had a great sense of humor.
It wasn’t until very late in life that he began to have a relationship with the Lord. Before his passing, he gave his heart and soul to God and recognized Christ as his Savior. He was baptized in November of 2025. While he leaves family and friends behind, we take pleasure in knowing Tristen is in heaven.
Tristen is survived by his mother Vicki Bateman, brother Bryan Dickison (Ashley), sisters Ashley Tackitt and Aubrey Bateman, niece and nephew Kyla and Levi Dickison.
